3 Frameworks to Grow Your Career Today
Knowing how you want to grow your career isn’t always an easy thing to do. While many of us want to grow ourselves and our careers, figuring out how to do it doesn’t always come naturally. For every person who knows exactly where they want to go, or what they’d like to end up doing in 5 or 10 years, there are others who aren’t so sure, or have multiple ideas and possibilities in our heads.
That is a good thing, but sometimes can be challenging when it comes time to actually put pen to paper and prepare for a career conversation with your manager, or try to be proactive about your career development and growth.
Over the years, I’ve found that what people need is just some frameworks to get their thinking started. It’s not that they don’t have aspirations or ideas, it’s just hard to always vocalize.
To help with this, I’ve come up with four different career growth frameworks that you can use to think about how you might want to grow your career, and that you can actually use either in your personal career development planning or as a conversation starter with your manager.
